HOW TOUGH IS THE COURSE

The underfoot terrain is varied, but the majority is firm single track trail alongside good sections of soft sand and stone beach. Man made concrete coastal protection slabs are inter dispersed (approx 5% of the route) and tarmac road at Greystones (3% total). There are steep climbs and descents around the Bray Head section totalling up to 350M of gain and the same of loss, but ultimately the course is runnable and will make for a good event.
